JUNE 1-7 2018 SALES TAX HOLIDAY

Tomorrow, June 1, 2018, is the official start day of hurricane season here in Florida.  While it would be foolish to celebrate such an occasion, we can begin preparations to protect some of our most valuable possessions, ourselves and our homes, and for this week only, save some money!

In March 2018 House Bill 5601 was signed by Governor Rick Scott to assist Florida residents in their preparations, the 2018 Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday.  Beginning tomorrow, Friday, June 1, 2018 and extending through June 7, 2018, certain qualifying items related to disaster preparedness will be exempt from sales tax.
